Paperboard is a material used in the manufacturing of boxes and containers, made from layers of paper fibres (natural or recycled) joined together to create a material that is flexible, but at the same time with a certain rigidity. Its outer layer can be coated, which allows for excellent printing and finishes.
It is frequently used for the manufacturing of food packaging (biscuit boxes, paperboard envelopes, food container jackets, etc.) as well as in other sectors such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals (boxes with flaps, matchboxes, boxes for tablets…), packaging for toys, perfumery packaging, etc.
Paperboard is frequently used to make all kinds of presentation cases as its flexibility allows it to be folded and/or stuck, creating containers with the ideal structure to store, protect and present a great diversity of products.
