Polyester (PET) is an innovative plastic material, which applied to the packaging sector, allows us to obtain metalised finishes in those areas where it is desirable. This is a laminated material that is superimposed in a layer on other structural materials such as paperboard, compact cardboard or corrugated cardboard, contributing very innovative features, not only aesthetically (metallic effects) but also other properties such as water-resistance, etc.

At DIGRAF we took up this challenge several years ago and so we are specialists in printing on silver polyester. Thanks to exhaustive research, we have succeeded in perfecting this type of printing.

The capability we have to print on these plastic materials(Polyester, Polypropylene, PVC, etc.) with offset technology, means a significant difference in the quality of the finishes obtained, in comparison with other printing techniques, such as screen printing or photogravure.

Over the years, we have manufactured all kinds of packaging printed on polyester (boxes, containers, packaging, cases, de luxe presentation cases), polyester POS display units (displays, merchandising material), as well as many other kinds of products (copy books, folders, office stationery), etc.

Metalised finishes

The silver polyester laminate gives it metalised characteristics, which allows us to apply this effect to whichever zones we want. There are also special finishes available such as iridescent effects.

As it is a plastic material, the outer layer provides resistance to water, which makes our containers water and humidity-resistant.

Thanks to the offset printing technique on plastics, the printing quality is excellent.
